Obituary of Melanie J. Cackowski

Melanie J. Cackowski, age 30, of Trumbull, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Born in Stamford on October 7, 1991, she was the loving daughter of Stanley Jr. and Dana Lupinacci Cackowski.

Growing up in Trumbull, Melanie was a graduate of the Trumbull High School Class of 2010. Mel loved music and was always singing. She had a beautiful voice, won several singing contests, and auditioned for American Idol in Boston.

Melanie loved animals, and the beach, and all things with nature. She loved her summers in Old Saybrook, and all the family memories made there.

Melanie was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and niece; she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her devoted parents, Stanley and Dana, survivors include her loving sister, Hailey Cackowski of Trumbull, maternal grandmother, Diane Lupinacci, paternal grandparents, Stanley Sr. and Janice Cackowski, aunt and uncles, Jenna Strazza and her husband James and Shawn Cackowski, cousins, Shaelynn Strazza and Reed Cackowski, Godmother, Dawn Moavero, as well as many great aunts, uncles, and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Anthony Lupinacci.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Prayer Service will take place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
