Final Resting Place
Obituary of Esther Renzoni
Esther May Renzoni entered eternal rest on October 24, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born on May 30, 1929, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She is predeceased by her parents, Alma (Bellucci) and Peter Sartarelli, a son, Johnny, her husband, John Renzoni, and her siblings, Joseph Sartarelli and Shirley Beatty.
She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Austin (Ken Austin) of VT, and Joann Medina (Dimas Medina) of CT, her grandchildren Nathan (Stephanie) Medina, Joshua Medina, Kate Austin, Erika Austin (Rafae Khan), great-grandchildren Henry, Daniel, Elizabeth, Gianna and Siena, and many nieces and nephews.
In 1950, she married her sweetheart, John Anthony Renzoni, and they shared the next 59 years together, fulfilling their dreams. She worked as a diligent bookkeeper for many years. She was involved and volunteered with many community and charitable groups. From 1972 to 1989 she lived in Stratford, Connecticut, with her husband. In 1989 they retired to Cape Coral, Florida. In 1999, prompted by the need to be closer to family, Esther and John relocated to Rutland, Vermont. In 2020, needing specialized medical care, Esther moved to Shelton Lakes in Shelton, Connecticut.
She had a quick wit, and loved playing cards and dominoes. She loved going to Mass and being a faithful Christian with the Holy Rosary Society. She spread joy wherever she went, loved all music, tapping her toes to Rod Stewart, one of her many favorites. She loved spending time with her family, so delighted by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings made such great happy memories. She prized all of her gifts and possessions, especially handmade items which she appreciated and displayed proudly. Always happy and with a smile, she loved her family dearly. Her husband John called her Principessa, his princess, and her grandchildren called her Nonni. She gave advice, was deeply loved, and always on your team, like a lion with her cubs. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and best friend.
Her family would like to thank all the wonderful loving people at Shelton Lakes, especially her closest caretakers for their ongoing care, kindness and support.
