Obituary of Susan E. Hudzik

Susan Esther Tariska Hudzik, age 77 of Trumbull, CT, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born May 29, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Helen Dobey Tariska.

Susan is survived by her husband, Michael Hudzik; daughter Deborah Correa (Cesar); son David Hudzik (Rebecca); sister Doris Tariska; five grandchildren: Sarah Correa, John, Correa, Sophie Hudzik, Aiden Hudzik, and Charlotte Hudzik; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Ness and Cecilia Hudzik; as well as numerous neices, nephews, and cousins.

Susan attended Central Connecticut University and Grace Downs Finishing School. She worked as an Executive Assistant at City Trust Company before devoting her life to being a wife and mother. She loved children and spent over fifty years volunteering with them in a variety of ways. She served in both her son and daughter's schools from elementary all the way through high school, and in the role of Preschool VBS and Sunday School teacher, as well as Youth Sponsor at Calvary Church.

Susan was an amazing cook and shared her love for it by overseeing meals for mission teams, planning many wedding and baby showers, hosting people in her home, organizing countless other celebrations over the years, and assisting her dear friend as a caterer. Her warm and caring heart touched numerous lives and her gift for hospitality was a true blessing to all who received it.

A memorial service celebrating Susan's life will be held at Calvary Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT, 06611 at 11:00 am on Friday, November 25, 2022. There will be a private burial for immediate family at her request.
