Obituary of Edward F. Lapinski

Edward F. Lapinski, age 86, of Stratford, a retired employee of Dresser Industries, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born in Bridgeport on August 23, 1918, he was a son of the late William and Valeria Surel Lapinski. A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was pre-deceased by his first wife, Evelyn Lapinski and second wife, Sophie Grochowski Lapinski.

Survivors include a son, Edward P. Lapinski, step-daughters, Michelene DeCesare and her husband, Angelo of Shelton, Paula Bove and her husband, Louis of Shelton and Mary DeBiase of Treasure Island, Florida, a step-son, Peter Mitchell and his wife, Linda of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, six grandchildren, Stephanie and Marcus DeCesare, Danielle Wolfe, Nicole Cropper and Michael and Meredith Mitchell, three great grandchildren, Abigail Zosia, Mitchell and Samuel, step-nieces, Elizabeth and Tara Petrucelli as well as several additional nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Monday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
