Obituary of Susan Amaro

Susan J. Dungelman Amaro, age 64, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Domingos Amaro, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on January 19, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Dorothy Rogers Dungelman. She was currently a switchboard operator for St. Vincent's Medical Center.

Susan was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and put their needs before her own. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in their hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband of 43 years, Domingos, survivors include her two cherished daughters, Danyel Fay of Orange and Nicole Amaro and her fiancé Stephen Murphy of Hernando Beach, Fl, a sister, Mary Dungleman of Bridgeport, sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine Piccinino and her husband Ray, Manuel Amaro and Louisa Printz, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Edward Fay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
