To Dawn & CJ, my condolences to you both. Although over the past few year we haven’t seen you all, you are loved and missed. Carmen’s words of wisdom, sense of humor and most of all his beautiful smile will always be remembered and missed. Love and light to you all. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.

Carmen.... this candle may fade, but your light will live on forever. I think we would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't smile when they heard your name or just thought of you. You were always someone who brightened any space you were in with your stories, jokes or even your rants! This world will not be the same without you and I am counting on you to guide our Yankees on to win the world series this year! I'm leaving that one up to you!
Rest peacefully our friend... until we meet again!
All our love,
Pammy Pinstripes and Brett

To the family, it is with deep regret to hear of Carmen's passing. He was a great friend. When he worked for me it was like we were partners. I was just saying to my wife that I had to call him and go to lunch. I loved him as a bro. And will miss him deeply. C u in heaven my friend.

Carmen was one of a kind who lived life on his own terms. I met him many years ago in a pottery class. He loved to "stir the pot" in conversations and enjoyed a good laugh. He will be missed but never forgotten. See you on the other side Carmen.

Carmen was in my pottery class on Monday nights for at least 15 years. It was a class that Carmen needed no instruction. He was already a master. He was the entertainment and the highlight of every class. We all loved to hear him tell his stories, and he had many. Monday nights will never be the same for all of us. He was such an encouragement to my daughter, Hope. Carmen knew how to bring out the best artist in her and always inspired her to be the best. Carmen lived life to the fullest and will be sorely missed.

My favorite memories of Carmen were most of them!
I guess if I have to pick one, it was when we were in Massachusetts working the horse races as parimutuel clerks. It was early September, from the 7th to the 10th. During their sweep, the Yankees outscored the Red Sox 42-9 as they swept the four games and ended the series tied for first place.
That was a great summer I spent with my cousin Carmen. But there were times throughout our lives that I will always remember. For years there were celebrations on Christmas Eve when I called Carmen’s home, then after speaking a few minutes to him, I would get passed to whatever family was still there at his home on N. Peters Lane. Those times were very memorable and very special to me.
Also, I can’t not remember the Bridgeport Jai Alai. We saw each other six nights a week for six months at a time for years! I often met him at his house after the matches were over. We imbibed in whatever we were imbibing for that night and it was a good time to be visiting my cousin. We played backgammon, watched movies but I always remember all the laughs we would have every time I saw him.
If he wasn’t my cousin, I would have wanted him to be my friend. I enjoyed 66 of the 69 years he was on the planet. I hope Carmen takes to the grave with him the happy memories that we gathered. The Coricas certainly shared sad memories but this is about celebration and happiness. Carmen was my relative, my cousin, and my friend. I will always be grateful for his contribution to my life and what he meant to me. Thanks Cuz…you were one of the good ones!
