Obituary of Matilda L. LaTulipe
Matilda Arndt LaTulipe, age 81, of Ansonia and formerly of Shelton and Norwalk, beloved wife of the late Thomas N. LaTulipe, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Born in Norwalk on August 24, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Susan A. Maddock Arndt.
Before her retirement, she was a bookkeeper in the family business, Norwalk Radiator and Welding Co. along with her husband and son. She loved flowers and tending to her garden and also enjoyed camping. She was a member of the Good Sams Club, where she participated in projects to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her son, Thomas W. LaTulipe and two sisters, Susan Henkel and Sharon Shersty.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Ryiz and her husband Paul of Shelton and Nancy LaTulipe, with whom she resided, and her husband Todd Perkins of Ansonia, a daughter-in-law, Teri LaTulipe of Shelton, seven grandchildren, who meant the world to her, Allison and Tommy LaTulipe, Brandon, Brian and Emily Perkins and Eddie and Joe Sul, a devoted brother, Walter J. Arndt and his wife Francine of Trumbull, as well as brother, Edward Arndt and his wife Beverly of SC, a sister, Laurie Taylor and her husband Tony of SC, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends can greet the family on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 3-6 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Friday night at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
