Obituary of Nancy Lauro

Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother Nancy Lauro, age 78, of Trumbull, beloved wife of John J. Lauro, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 17, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Annunziata Quaranta Smeraglinolo. She worked for a time at Howie Manufacturing Co. in Bridgeport and later as a cafeteria aide for the Trumbull School System. Nancy will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who could always make everyone smile. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and cooking for her family. She will be deeply missed and always remembered. In addition to John, her husband of 55 years, survivors include two daughters, Marisa Tsalapatanis and her husband John of Easton and Carol Trotta and her husband Michael of Trumbull, five grandchildren, Laura DiMeglio and her husband Michael, Ashley Tsalapatanis, Chelsea Tsalapatanis, Jacquelyn Trotta and Michael Trotta Jr., a sister, Carmela Amabile and a sister-in-law, Antoinette Smergalino, both of Indian Harbor Beach, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers and sisters, Dominic Smergalino, Sophie Falzarano, Jennie Falzarano, Anthony Smergalino, Vincent Smergalino, Rose Klesitz and Esther Heron. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
