Obituary of Elizabeth Emmolo

Elizabeth "Lizzy" Emmolo, age 51, of Milford passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on May 23, 1972, she is the daughter of John and Anna Emmolo of Milford, CT.

Lizzy was a fighter from the very beginning, defying all the odds stacked up against her with her strong will and steadfast determination. This was the impact she had on others, teaching us to never give up.

She loved being at home and anywhere she was surrounded by her sisters. Lizzy's creative mind was always at work, expressed through a love of coloring and writing. She never missed an episode of "Little House on the Prairie" or "The Waltons," and if you were lucky enough to receive a "Tootsie Pop" from her, you knew you were someone special.

Lizzy enjoyed making others laugh; her wit and sense of humor were unmatched. She was genuine and her knack for being a straight shooter was admired by everyone she knew. These qualities, along with her pure and joyful spirit are what made her precious. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her loving parents, John and Anna, other survivors include her devoted sisters, Tina Laychak and her husband John of Milford, Lucy Emmolo of Milford, and Claudia Rutkowski and her husband Jeff of San Diego, CA, her adored nieces and nephews, John and his wife Allie, Grace and her husband Patrick, Anthony, Nicholas, Stephanie, Julianna and Ava, as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Lizzy's life will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Kingdom Life Christian Church, 1455 Naugatuck Ave., Milford, CT.
