Obituary of Barbara J. Kusinski

Barbara J. Duch Kusinski, age 80, of Trumbull, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her home. She was born in Bridgeport on December 18, 1943.

She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Duch and was the beloved wife of Edward Kusinski Sr. for twenty- two years.

Barbara loved polka and gospel music. Prior to her marriage to Edward, she would attend polka dances whenever possible until health problems prohibited her from doing so.

Barbara was a very outgoing person and if you needed help Barbara would be the first to offer it. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School Class of 1961. After school her career started with her working in Bridgeport Hospital, a bus driver for disabled children, medical claims adjuster and finally the assistant to the admitting supervisor in Bridgeport Hospital from which she retired with her husband eleven years ago.

She loved the grandchildren Juliana, Emily, Lauren and Joshua. She enjoyed having them sleep over on weekends whenever possible and watching them when it was necessary. She also loved dogs of which she had four and wanted another but her medical condition prohibited her caring for another one.

She is survived by a stepson Edward Jr. and his wife Lynn, their three children Juliana, Emily and Lauren. Ben and his wife Amy and their son Joshua. Also, her sister Frances Richard, a nephew Mark Richard and a niece Nadine Bruder.
