Obituary of Jeannette Randall Held

Jeannette Randall Held, age 91, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Frederick L. Held, Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Jeannette was born in Bridgeport on January 13, 1933, to the late Howard Francis and Dorothy Beach Randall. A graduate of Bassick High School, Class of 1950 and the University of Bridgeport, Class of 1954, Jeannette was an O.R. nurse at Bridgeport Hospital for many years before her retirement in 1992. A lifelong Trumbull resident, she was also a volunteer for Trumbull EMS from 1976-1982. Jeannette was a dedicated and lifelong member of the Long Hill United Methodist Church; where she served on various committees and boards and volunteered countless hours to assist in any way. But above all, she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who always put the needs of her family before her own. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her four loving children, Fred L. Held, Jr. and his wife Donna, Sharon Lea Held, Edward Randall Held and his wife Tricia, and Gary St. John Held and his wife, Wendy, eight cherished grandchildren, Kevin (Christina), Robert (Melanie), Jeffrey, Austin, Ariana, Alexa, Mary Grace and John, a great grandson, Garrett Held, a brother, Howard Randall and a niece Lynn Bourque Johnson (Mike). She was predeceased by her sister, Gwendolyn Bourque. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. directly in the Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
