Obituary of Joan M. Fulton

Joan M. (DiMeo) Fulton, age 84, of Trumbull and formerly a longtime resident of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on January 22, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Emidio and Pauline (Defelice) DiMeo. Prior to her retirement, Joan worked as a packer at Country Home Bakery and Nancy Lynn Bakery, where she built many friendships over the years. Her greatest enjoyment however was found during visits with her twin sister and spending time with her siblings and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.    

She is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Andrasi and her husband Paul and her son, Robert Fulton, her cherished grandchildren, Erica Edwards and her husband Michael, Joseph Andrasi, Robert Fulton and his wife Kathy, Ashley Rodriguez-Perez and her husband Karl, Brittany Fulton, Alyssa Fulton and Anthony Fulton, her adored great grandchildren, Kaylee and Derek, her twin sister, Jean Matthews, and sister, Anna DiStassio, as well as many special nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Connie Meyer, Elsie Myers and Rachel Laufer and her brothers, Sonny, Fred and Samuel DiMeo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:30 am directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
