Obituary of Ann Marie Samperi
Ann Marie Amoroso Samperi, age 74, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on April 3, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Fannie Marciano Amoroso, and wife of the late John Samperi.
A retired cafeteria manager for the City of Bridgeport Nutrition Center, Ann Marie worked at both Central and Harding High Schools. She enjoyed interacting with students to brighten their days. Ann Marie loved gardening and cooking for her family. Everyone looked forward to eating her famous meatballs and gravy at Sunday dinner. Above all, Ann Marie was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. The unconditional love she gave, and values she taught, will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her four loving daughters, Tracy Baden (Ramon Rosario), Kelley Graham (Michael), Melissa Samperi, and Danielle Samperi (Craig Nichio), four cherished grandchildren, Zachary and Evan Baden and Ella and Liam Graham, siblings, Mary Saccol, Anthony Amoroso, Toni Avery, and Felix Amoroso, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her canine companion Riley. She was predeceased by siblings, Bart Amoroso, Min Amoroso, Carmella Croteau, and Joseph Amoroso. A special thanks to her sister-in-law Tracey Kelly, Smilow Cancer Center in Trumbull, and Bridgeport Hospital Hospice staff for their dedicated care.
