Deb was always a strong force to be reckoned with! She cooked like a maniac for parties with awesome recipes! Loved to shop here in Florida and loved giving "Easy Going" Ron a bit of a hard time! She will be missed her in our neighborhood.

Our moms were first cousins and we spent many wonderful family gatherings together throughout the years. In addition we became teachers in Bridgeport the same year. Debbi left an indelible mark on all the children she taught and the teachers she worked with. She showed so much courage during her battle with cancer. She will be missed . My deepest sympathy to the family! Love, Cousin Linda

I am saddened to hear of Mrs. Broccoli's passing. I remember meeting her from years ago when I began my career at Bridgeport Public Schools and recently paths crossed again a few years ago when she covered our school building filling in as admin. I wish her family and dearest friends my condolences and send my thoughts and prayers to them during this difficult time. May she rest in paradise.

I am deeply saddened with the loss of a wonderful woman. My sincere sympathy goes out to her entire family. In addition to her being the wife of my husband's cousin I worked with Debby in Bridgeport Public Schools with her for 7 years. She was one of the nicest co-workers I have had the pleasure to work with as a Special Educator. She was so supportive and helpful to me at all times and her presence just lit up a room.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Deborah Broccoli's passing. She was a wonderful mentor and friend. I knew Debbi as a family-loving and committed individual who cared deeply for children. She was bright, creative, funny, beautifully loud, caring, and an outstanding teacher and administrator. Mrs. B, as many students called her, inspired a passion for reading in all our students through her love and dedication to literacy. Her beautiful energy will remain with us and continue to guide us.
With love, Manuel Rocha

Debi and I worked together in Bridgeport as I was beginning my first principalship. She was an amazing mentor and a beautiful friend. When I told her I was getting married in July 2018 on the beach in Naples, Florida, she came to wish me and Ray happiness. We reconnected in Milford at ReMind Wellness boutique where she loved to meditate and take time to unwind. What a beautiful person. I am so sad and so sorry for your loss. Michele Cerino Gradwell

Debbi and I went to high school together, having been in several classes together throughout the 4 years. We would see each other again as we were both teachers in Bridgeport and would have several occasions to talk. Sometimes we would reminisce about the high school years and other times it was just a hello, how are you doing conversation. My deepest condolences to the entire Broccoli family. Debbi was a wonderful person who will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace!

I met Mrs. Broccoli when she was my principal at Newfield School. She was energetic, fun, and supportive! She had a presence about her that was strong and she always was dressed to the nines!
She will be missed by so many in the educational community! Is there a way we can send a book on her behalf somewhere as we will be out of town for services.
You can email me as I would like to send a scholastic gift card for a donation of books.

We met at the beach with mutual friends. Wally and Ron would talk military and Debbie and I discussed food and recipes. She texted me in the fall asking to meet again at Delnor Wiggins. We looked forward to spending time together. Debbie dedicated her life for others and family. What a lovely legacy. Life is so precious.
Ron, please reach out to us when you can. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
