Obituary of John R. Cennamo

John R. Cennamo, age 84 of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Born and raised in Bridgeport he was the one son of John and Louise Fedeli Cennamo. A longtime resident of Trumbull, he was also a proud U.S Marine Corps Veteran. He acquired many nicknames over the years and you may remember him as "Jack", "Jackie Boy", "Johnny" or "Cadillac (Jack)". For 25 years he was an accomplished Mason & Bricklayer. Many of the buildings he skillfully built still stand today. In 1981 he changed careers to become a Stagehand where he spent the next 30 years on Broadway serving as Head Carpenter on such hits as Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon and The Producers, to name a few. In 1997 he used his craftmanship to build his dream home on Canoe Brook Lake where he lived with his beloved wife, Martha Paternoster Cennamo until her death. He was a man who put his heart & soul into everything he touched, particularly his work & family. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many. To know him was to love him and he will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include his two loving children, Michael Cennamo and Tina Siberon, two cherished granddaughters, Lydia and Bella, his loving daughter in law, Jennifer, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10:30am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plain Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives & friends may greet the family on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until the time of service in the funeral home.
