Obituary of Louis Vincent Ciarmella

Louis Vincent Ciarmella, age 46, of Center Ossipee, New Hampshire, and formerly of Monroe, beloved husband of Rachel Call-Ciarmella, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. Born in Bridgeport on January 27, 1978, he was the son of Thomas and Rita Ciarmella of Monroe.

A graduate of Masuk High School Class of 1996, Louis attended college and then began work as a carpenter. He pursued a career in the electrical field and became a licensed electrician. He worked for several Connecticut companies before he became ill. He developed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which led to open heart surgery and then a heart transplant in December 2020.

Lou was a funny guy and a big kid at heart who could always make anyone laugh. He was a longtime member of the Diablos MC, loved riding motorcycles, being outside and traveling when he could with the people he loved. He was a loyal person who treasured his family, his many dear club brothers and many old and new friends. There was no such thing as strangers with Lou, just friends he hadn't met yet.

In addition to his beloved wife Rachel, and his loving parents Tom and Rita, survivors include two loving step-daughters, Alexis and Mikayla, his cherished sister Abbie Martino and her husband Jeff, and two adored nephews, Luke and Evan. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, JoAnn and Bob Frawley, Regina and Paul Gulash, Darlene and Art Guglielmoni, and Lisa and Shel Schwabacher, his cousins Laura Bracci, LeeAnn Gulash, Aaron and Adam Schwabacher, many more relatives and his very dear friends. He also leaves his beloved fur babies, Rue and Olive.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Ann Biondi, his paternal grandparents, Arcangelo and Angelina Ciarmella, and his cousin, Monica Fabian.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family through the funeral director.
