Obituary of Frank J. Lombardi, Jr.

Frank J. Lombardi, Jr., age 89, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Lord Chamberlain, Stratford surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Tkach) Lombardi. Born in Bridgeport on April 23, 1935, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Frances (Hovanick) Lombardi. Frank was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country honorably and later worked as a firefighter for the City of Bridgeport for many years before his retirement in 1990 as a pumper engineer. He was a member of the Bridgeport Area Firefighters, life time member of Port 5 Naval Veterans and a member of the American Legion Post 177.

In addition to his beloved wife Mary Ann of 23 years, survivors include his devoted children, Lynne Ervin-Lombardi, Lisa DiStefano and her husband Samuel and Leslie Gargano and her husband Mark, his cherished grandchildren, Nathanial Ervin and Natalie Gargano, his adored great grandchildren, Enzo, Estello and Eleanor Ervin, his cousin, who was like a brother, George Pastorok, Jr., his niece Diane Bailey and nephew Lou Bailey. He was predeceased by his sister, Carmela D. Bailey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Entombment with full military honors will follow in the St. Catherine Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
