Ginny was the ultimate grandma, always attending family events and helping celebrate the milestones of her grandchildren’s lives.  Ginny was born in Orono, Maine to Seth and Eva Littlefield; a musical family of seven brothers and sisters. While growing up in Orono she enjoyed performing with her family, always singing in perfect harmony. After she graduated Orono High School in 1941 she moved to Bridgeport, CT joining the many women of WWII working in a munitions plant for the war effort. Following her love of music led her to meet orchestra leader Johnny Mucci and singing with his band as “Ginny Fields.” They married and made beautiful music together for over 50 years! She sang with St. James Catholic Church Choir and was president of the PTA.

Throughout her life she stayed active in music and entertainment wherever she lived. We’ll always remember her singing her favorite tune “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B.” Ginny was a loving and giving person who volunteered for Meals on Wheels and always worked at poll sites during elections. She had an independent, outgoing spirit and until she was 90 would drive from Clearwater, Florida to her family cabin in northern Maine to join her sister for the summers. Her final years were spent struggling with Alzheimer’s disease but even that could not diminish her zest for life and her joyful smile.

All funeral services and burial will be held privately for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tidewell Hospice, 220 Wexford Blvd., Venice, FL 34293. For online condolences please visit us at www.abriola.com.
