Obituary of Jean Fisher

Jean (Eugenia) Mrasco Fisher, age 97, of Trumbull passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Fisher. She was born in Bridgeport to her parents, George Mrasco and Jean (Yanutik) Mrasco. She grew up in Bridgeport, where she graduated from Bassick High School.

She worked for several companies during her life – S.N.E.T., Peoples Bank and St. Joseph Manor to name a few. She and her family were original members of Most Precious Blood, now known as Christ the King Parish. She was active in her church and its Women’s Guild, and the Trumbull Democratic Women’s Club.

Jean is survived by her beloved children, Barbara J. Fisher and Robert L. Fisher, Jr. and her grandson, Daniel Fisher. She was predeceased by her son William Fisher.

The family would like to thank HHC at Home Hospice staff and Nequa, her Visiting Angel aide, who helped her and her family during the last months of Jean’s life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
