Obituary of Richard D. Lucas

Richard D. Lucas, age 64, beloved husband of Barbara Carpenter Lucas of Trumbull, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on April 28, 1949, he was a son of Elva Phillips Lucas of Milford and the late Frank Lucas. Before his retirement, Mr. Lucas was a Marshall with the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch for over 14 years during which time he served as a Captain. He was an avid race car fan and a generous man who was very giving and always willing to lend a hand. In addition to his wife of 34 years, Barbara, and his mother, survivors include his two loving daughters, Jennifer and Kristina Lucas of Trumbull, two sisters, Beverlee Alea and her husband Tom of Ansonia, Cindea Jassil and her husband Pete of North Branford, two brothers, Robert Lucas of Woodbridge, David Lucas of Milford, his father-in-law, Robert L. Carpenter of FL as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
