Obituary of Angelina Lupariello

Angelina Lopiano Lupariello, age 85, of Stamford, beloved wife of the late Leonardo Costantino Lupariello, died peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on December 1, 1927 in Minturno, Province DLatina, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Leonardo and Maria Paparella Lopiano. Angelina was a retired employee of Angela Mia Italian Pastry Shoppe in Norwalk, with 25 years of dedicated service. Generous in spirit and overwhelmingly gracious, she loved to cook and feed everyone. Angelina enjoyed her most memorable times spent with her daughter, whom she adored. She loved New York City, Broadway plays, shopping, Carmines, Radio City Christmas Show, Rockefeller Center, St. Patricks Cathedral, Cape Cod, Newport, Rhode Island, the casinos (except when she lost) and the Nordic Lodge lobster buffet, where she would be happy watching others eat. Survivors include a loving and devoted daughter, Lee Gentile of Fairfield, former son-in-law, Daniel Gentile of Stamford, sisters, Vincenza Lopiano Ciccadicola and her husband Armando of Rome, Italy, Pia Lopiano of Minturno, Italy and Liliana Lopiano Pappa and her husband Aldo of Stamford, brothers, Antonio Lopiano of Minturno, Italy and Giovanni Lopiano and his wife Tilda of Gaeta, Italy; several nieces and nephews in Italy, as well as nephews, Michael Pappa of Trumbull and Robert Pappa of Fairfield and a niece, Maria Pappa, of Stamford. She was predeceased by a brother, Pasquale Lopiano. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
