Obituary of Beatrice M. Mastronardi

Beatrice Marie Vazzano Mastronardi, age 78, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Enrico Mastronardi, passed away at home on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Born in Bridgeport, July 9, 1935, the youngest child of the late Guiseppe and Domenica Poeta Vazzano. Bea, a 1953 Harding High graduate, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her thoughtfulness and generosity, along with her inimitable spaghetti sauce, meatballs, soups and pound cakes will be sorely missed by so many. Whether for a holiday she was hosting, or a grandchild away at college, Bea was faithfully delivering her delicious specialties. Bea worked as a floral decorator and loved working in her gardens at home. Pre-deceased by brothers Frank, Orlando, Stephen and Rudolph Vazzano, sisters Lillian Mastronardi, Margaret Gulia, Theresa Parnoff and Gloria Caltabiano, Bea leaves behind six children: Lisa Fitzgerald and husband Brendan of Virginia, Debra Pardales and husband Scott of Madison, Michael Mastronardi and wife Bonnie of Maine, Rick Mastronardi and wife Kate of Trumbull, Joseph Mastronardi and wife Marie of Hartford, Robert Mastronardi and wife Lili of Madison; a sister, Loretta Malafronte of FL; 13 grandchildren: David Mastronardi, Carolyn Huminski and husband Tim, Meghan Barucci and husband Robert, Julia Yakovich and husband David, Anne Miller and husband Justin, Michael, Amara, Erica, and E. J. Mastronardi, Charlotte, Griffin, Rex and Olivia Pardales, three great grandchildren, Brennen and Eliza Huminski, and Chloe Yakovich. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Rose, Marge and Adeline Vazzano, Connie Marchetti, Anne McNeice and brother-in law Michael Mastronardi, Bea will be deeply missed by her kind and dear nieces and nephews with whom she shared many wonderful moments. Beas longtime best friend Anne DeGeralomo, niece Donna Vogel and nephew Jim Malafronte should know how much she admired and loved them. Beatrice prayed diligently and trusted in God. Her gift from her Creator was the special bond she developed with so many different people of all ages. Her warmth and kindness will be echoed by all she touched. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
