Obituary of John C. McNeil

Trumbull Resident John C. McNeil, age 84, of Trumbull, a retired supervisor for United Illuminating Co. at the Harbor Station with 46 years of service, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on June 2, 1924, he was a son of the late John C. and Sadie MacArthur McNeil. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was a proud bronze star recipient. He was pre-deceased by a brother Rod McNeil. Survivors include his beloved wife, Mildred Wigre McNeil, three sons Roger McNeil of North Haven, John McNeil of Trumbull and Timmy McNeil and his wife Sharon of Ansonia, two grandchildren, Katie & Evan McNeil, and nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Memorial services will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Inurnment with military honors will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull.
