Dear Rizzo Family, We are so sorry to hear of Sal's passing. We were neighbors and had moved to Italy in 2006 and had visited Sal and Lucy a year or so later. We had heard of Lucy's passing while we were still in Italy, and just last year had moved back to CT, to Bristol. We were just passing through Bridgeport today, November 10, and always when we are in the area we drive by Red Oak Condominiums, we saw Sal's flag...which got us to wondering. So after getting back home, we did a search...and naturally sad to see that we found Sal just passed away over the last 10 days. Sal and Lucy were very special people and loving people. I worked along side of Sal for several years as the secretary on the board for the condo association. He was the best condo President and such a talented guy. Often when we visited he and Lucy would proudly show us his paintings and their Christmas village display. There are many fond memories for us having known them from 1998 to 2006 when we moved to Italy. Certainly you have so many more fond memories than we do that you will always cherish in your hearts. Our sincerest condolences to the entire Rizzo/Pekar family. He was an amazing man. I never saw anyone who danced better. You are so fortunate to have had him in your lives for 95 years. So sorry we cannot be with you, but know we are with you in spirit and send our love to you all.
