Obituary of Robert F. Kwet

Robert F. Kwet, age 70, of Milford and formerly of Trumbull, beloved husband of Sandra Patterson Kwet, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Edward and Tessie Herr Kwet. Robert was a graduate of Western Connecticut State University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. A U. S. Marine Corp veteran, Robert was a retired Detective Sergeant for the City of Bridgeport Police Department with 23 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Bridgeport Police Pistol Team, enjoyed watching all sports and loved fishing and boating. After his retirement, Robert was a liaison with the State of Connecticut and also worked as a private investigator for 15 years. In addition to his beloved wife of 11 years, Sandie, survivors include two children, Michael Sheehan and his wife Julie of Dixon, CA and Leo Reddy and his wife Evelyn of Milford, two grandchildren, Rachel and Ian Reddy; two brothers, Donald Kwet of Trumbull and his children, Donald Kwet and his wife Trish of MA and Cathy Kwet Castorina and her husband Anthony of Huntington and Fred Kwet and his wife Linda of East Haven and his children Dan Kwet and his wife Yla of Milford and Michael Kwet of East Haven, as well as several additional nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday November 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa's Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
